Satin Levin Family Biking Challenge
While the past few months have presented our family with new challenges, we have been trying very hard to remind ourselves how lucky we are to have our health. No matter how locked down things got, we made a commitment to get on our bikes and try to stay healthy and sane.
We’re now a biking family, with a renewed appreciation for our health and the beauty of the west end. James learned how training can make him better: “The hills took lots of practice, but now when I see a hill, I think I can do it!”
St. Joe's is our hospital in the west end, whose frontline workers have been keeping our community safe. Our choice for our West End Warrior challenge will be to bike 100 km this summer - per family member!
Anna is pumped up to raise the money and knows why it’s important: “Knowing lots of people are less fortunate than me makes me feel like I want to help them more. If that means I bike more, then that’s what I’m going to do!” We hope that you will help us reach our financial goal.
In addition to supporting St. Joe's, Laura and I will be matching each West End Warrior donation to the hospital up to the first $500 for the Parkdale Community Food Bank.
