Help me transform St. Joe's!
Let?s Cycle 4 St. Joe?s and celebrate 13 years of riding together!
I can't believe it's been 13 years of cycling to make a difference at St. Joe's. This event was started by a teenager who wanted to help his local hospital, others joined him in ever increasing numbers and now we have hundreds of people joining to improve care at St. Joe's.
I think St. Joe's is an extraordinary place. I've worked here longer than I've worked anywhere because I love this place, the people who work here and the patients we care for.
And I'm excited about the incredible changes coming. You may have seen that we've started raising funds for a transformative new 900,000 square foot patient care wing. Our wing will have two floors dedicated to mental health with a brand new area for seniors care. It will have 13 new operating rooms and a new intensive care unit. We'll have a new emergency department to care for the over 100,000 patient visits we have annually. There will be 340 new private rooms for our patients, with their own washrooms and space for families. It's pretty impressive and will take a lot of support to make happen.
We call this Building Extraordinary! The province has committed to our build and more and more donors are joining us to make this biggest change in health care in our community a reality. I'm cycling on September 28th to help and hope you'll support my efforts. You can make your donation by going to my personal fundraising page and making your donation!. Please lend a hand if you can.
Thanks!
Maria
