Back in the day, our colleague in the Dept. of Anesthesia at St. Joe's, Dr. Jennifer Bender, was an avid supporter of the Cycle 4 St. Joe's. Further, she had a vision to build a block room, a space within the operating room area in which our anesthesia team could prepare patients in the moments before surgery.

After Jennifer passed away, we directed fundraising efforts toward building the Dr. Jennifer Bender Block Room. We got the job done, with a large portion of the funding coming from the Cycle 4 St. Joe's, our team being Jenn's Blockheads. Well, it's time for a refurbishing of the Block Room. In the very least, we need a new ultrasound machine to keep up with increasing surgical volumes and the latest techniques. And so, Blockheads Are Back!

On Sunday Sept. 22nd, 2024, Blockheads Are Back! will be riding in the Cycle 4 St. Joe's. Please join our team for the ride and/or make a contribution to help us in our ongoing quest to provide great care to our community.
